How to finish a jigsaw puzzle quickly?

I want to get faster at it, because I’m pretty slow! I always do the edges first, because I find it easier that way. Any tips on how to finish jigsaw puzzles quickly?

    first seperate the edge pieces from the inside ones
    then seperate those two groups by alike colors and patterns

    Best to work with corner edge pieces first, then the sides of the puzzle itself. Then follow what the other person above me says with the color shading.
